How Our Tile Cleaning Works

Ceramic tile is one of the least cared for surfaces in any home. After all, who wants to get on their hands and knees scrubbing tile and grout for hours. Speed Clean uses a fast, thorough, and environmentally friendly process:

STEP 1 - Inspection

Our expert floor cleaning technicians will inspect your tile to determine the best cleaning method for your specific tile.

STEP 2 - Cleaning Solution

We apply a non-toxic cleaning solution to the tile and grout lines and let it dwell for 20 minutes. We then work the solution into the pores to loosen embedded dirt, grease, oils and other contaminants.

STEP 3 - Pressure Washing

We thoroughly steam, rinse and extract the dirt- laden water out of the pores of the grout and tile into our truck’s recovery tank. This clean and efficient process is all fluid controlled so there is no over-spray of water or cleaning solution.

STEP 4 -Drying

We dry the floor surfaces using a high speed turbo air mover which takes between 10 -30 minutes. We are then able to inspect the floor to see the true condition of the grout and can tell at this point if there is any permanent staining or discoloration.

  • CLEAR SEALING: If you are pleased with the results of the cleaning, we can go ahead and apply a clear sealer to the floor to protect it from further staining or …
  • GROUT RE-COLORING: If the results did not meet your expectations and there is a considerable amount of staining and discoloration, we can recolor the grout to the color of your choice.

In either case your grout will look almost as good as the day it was installed.

Tile Sealing & Grout Recoloring

After the tile and grout has been thoroughly cleaned, you have two options based on the condition of the grout.

  • Tile Sealing: If you’re happy with the condition of your floors after cleaning, we can seal the tile. This provides a protective coating to resist staining and other types of damage. Clear sealing will increase the longevity of your tile.

  • Grout Recoloring: If there is permanent staining or discoloration, we can recolor your grout in a color that you like. Recoloring your grout will give your tile a like-new appearance, no matter the underlying discoloration.

How Often Should Tile and Grout be Cleaned?

  • In Residential Applications depending on foot traffic and pets, the floors should be professionally maintained at least once per year to revitalize the floor surfaces and grout lines at a substantial discount.

When we are completed you can expect everything to be orderly. Floors that are sealed require 2 to 3 hours drying in the grout lines.
